A Gathering to Remember Bill “Bo” Boldenweck
Colma
February 13, 2011

========================

The band was asked if we could provide about 20 players for a gathering
at Molloy’s Tavern in Colma to remember Bill Boldenweck.

Bill was a Marine in the Korean war, and also a a reporter for the SF Examiner.

He loved the LTWCMB, and especially the patriotic tunes we would play.
He would always be present in the Broadway Cocktail Lounge
in Redwood City after the Independence Day parade.

The following photos were provided by Scott Buschman.

The LTWCMB Irregulars are looking good at Molloy’s!

Dave appears to be in control.

Gene Maurice and Rich team up on trumpets. Gene did a nice rendition of “Taps” for the occasion.

The crowd enjoyed the band. Bo would also never miss an LTWCMB
post-parade appearance at the Broadway Cocktail Lounge on Independence Day.

We did many of the “patriotic” tunes in our repertoire.

Our strong brass section sounded good.

We gave Bo a nice send-off.
